Sleepless in Neuschwanstein

After my 29 hour day at work with no sleep, Andrea and a couple of our German friends picked me up at work for a trip to Neuschwanstein. It was the most gorgeious day here in Ansbach, sun shinning, nice and warm. So we hit the road for our journey, Andrea and Lidia fell asleep while York and I talked about new german phrases for me to learn, being neither of us had ever been there we didnt know where to go, when Lidia woke up she relized we had gone to far and we were driving in Austria! Luckly we had not gotten to far we just had to turn around and backtrack 10 km. Once we got there it was so foggy when standing at the bottom of the castle we could not hardy the top. We rode the horse and wagon as far as we could but we still had to hike up the steep mountain quite a distance! The journey to the top, to the bridge and down the mountain was quite hard for Andrea since she is almost 7 months pregnant! After our tour through the castle the fog had started to clear, while Andrea and Lidia started walking down the mountain York and Me went back to the bridge for more pictures, sadly it was under construction so we got pictures of the beautiful castle looking ugly!!!
Once we all met up again at the bottom we decided to take the scenic route home going through Austria, it added an extra two hours but it was very fun, not only that we both had probably some of the best food we have ever had at a little restourant we stopped at!!!
